About Steven and Trudy

We are Steven James and Trudy Palmer, and have been Life partners, business partners and dance partners pretty much since we met in early 2001, and currently reside in Western Canada. We are founders and directors of our company, The Betterways Group for almost the same amount of time.

Our passion and mission is to find innovative and non-traditional methods and strategies for building wealth and achieving financial freedom, and to help and teach others how to do the same.

Our ultimate dream and goal is to move to a tropical country where we can live and run our various online businesses from anywhere in the world. We are seriously considering either Brazil or Ecuador in the very near future.

Our journey to financial freedom began when we attended a T. Harv Eker Millionaire Mind weekend seminar together, which served to further fuel our love for business, investing, building relationships and helping people world-wide achieve the goals that they desire.

This in turn sparked the creation of our international online subscriber base, the authoring of a number of e-books and reports online as well as establishing strong and lasting relationships with similar and like-minded people all over the world, such as Australia, Vanuatu, Panama, Germany, Netherlands, UK, Japan and USA to name a few.

Another one of our biggest mentors that inspired us in where we are today is Robert Kiyosaki, after reading his life-changing financial bible called Rich Dad Poor Dad. A few other noteworthy books that had a big impact on our future were The E-Myth by Michael Gerber and The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss.

Who are we?

Steven spent 12 years traveling the world with the Canadian Navy during which time he developed invaluable leadership, personal and communication skills. Then after working at a retail print job for 7 years and being quite dissatisfied with it all, Steven ended up leaving that job in 2004 and vowed that he would never work for anyone else ever again trading his time for money. To this day, this endeavor is one of his proudest achievements.

Steven has always had a passion for entrepreneurism and self-enterprise, and gained valuable experience through the many business and investment ventures that he has been involved in over the years. Some of these include training and trading on the NASDAQ, TSX and FOREX (Currency) markets, and owning network marketing businesses.

Living an abundant life with health, wealth and happiness, helping others, harmonious relationships with like-minded people, and an overall feeling of Freedom is Steven’s ultimate passions and desires in life.

Trudy founded and operated a very successful bookkeeping and accounting firm in Western Canada which she recently sold to move closer to her goal of re-locating to a tropical country where she could work with Steven full-time on the online businesses. With 15 years of experience under her belt, Trudy has a strong educational background in accounting and business administration and consequently has had the privilege to work with many different types of businesses over the years.

Trudy also has a passion for helping business owners implement systems to save them time and money, improve their cash flow, monitor the financial health of their company and make better decisions sooner.

What are we doing presently?

We mostly research systems, and trade and invest extensively in the 3.2 Trillion dollar per day FOREX (Currency) Market, and help and teach others how to do the same.

We own two successful Network Marketing businesses, in which Steven is a top Platinum leader in one of the companies for over 2.5 years now.

We also currently own and operate a well-known and successful e-Currency Exchange business servicing e-Gold and Liberty Reserve e-Currency exchange customers on a global scale since 2006.

Having years of experience in the e-Currency exchange industry has given us a unique perspective to online investing, and how to identify legitimate and viable business opportunities and investments and weed out the schemes and the scams. The Internet is plagued with these online scams whose only mission is to eventually steal people’s hard-earned money.

We recently partnered with a large real estate brokerage company and structured a project where we are purchasing and investing in Sub-Prime Foreclosure real estate properties, and would like to expand our real estate investing horizons in an up-and-coming booming tropical country, wherever we end up living.

We also have an above-average level of experience and education in the alternative health and Nutrition industry, and have done extensive studying and research in this field over the years along with being involved in several health and nutrition businesses. We are passionate about living an abundantly healthy lifestyle without disease, sickness and drugs, along with sharing this knowledge with others.

And for Fun!

Our biggest love and past-time is music and Dance. We have been dancing together as dance partners since we met. We started out in Swing dancing and transitioned over to Latin dance where we were involved in a Latin performance group and performed at various public events for 5 years. Steven has been teaching basic Salsa classes on and off over the past couple of years. Our dancing will fit well living in a tropical country. Trudy also played and taught piano for almost 20 years.
