A Note About Forex RobotsDuring the past 6 years that we have been trading various Forex robots, trading systems and strategies, we have learned that no matter how great or effective a trading system is at a given time, it will not work in every market and may even eventually become ineffective due to changes in global market conditions. One system that didn’t work very well in the past may become extremely profitable, while the one that seemed to be the “holy grail”, may become not so profitable, or even a complete loser (when before it made money hand over fist). One of the most important rules for any type of trading or investment strategy, is diversification. It goes back to the age-old golden rule: never put all your eggs in one basket (or strategy, or system). Being tired of staying up all hours trading and wanting to diversify into multiple trading systems, has lead to our foray into the exciting and rapidly growing world of automated trading with Forex robots. These are also known as Expert Advisors (EA’s) that are programmed downloadable software programs designed to run on the Metatrader 4 (MT4) trading platform provided by many FX Brokers. The great thing about these EA trading robots is that they are virtually hands-free. The robot does all the trades on your computer automatically 24 hours a day. The downside is that your trade station and computer have to be running for the trades to be executed, unless you subscribe to a Forex Hosting service that to host your trade station so it will continue to trade even if your computer is turned off. There are many sub-standard robots all over the Internet that just don’t deliver, but we have found (and tested) a few good ones that are really getting our attention. Our focus now is to diversify our trading and investing strategies into five or six different well-designed and effective FX Auto-trade Robots and systems.
